Description

This is a 1 hour digital study of a photograph I found online on the Dominican Republic. As I work on concept art for my upcoming webcomic Somni, I'm doing studies on the locations that parts of the fairytale Somni takes place on. The Dominican Republic is one of those locations. It's the reference for an island called Bohío that some of the characters in the story are from.

So nice! Even though it's a rough painting, the textures of the houses and palm trees really come through beautifully, and you captured the lighting amazingly.
